Vodafone will sell a 3% stake in Indus Towers for ₹2,841 crore to reduce its debt and fund dues of Vodafone Idea (Vi).
The sale price is based on Indus Towers' stock closing at ₹358.75 on the BSE. Post-sale, Vodafone's stake in Indus will drop below 1%. Of the proceeds, $101 million (₹856 crore) will repay loans, while the remainder will support Vi’s capital raise to clear dues under service agreements. Earlier, Vodafone sold an 18% stake in Indus for ₹15,300 crore in June.
