WazirX Hacker Moves Stolen Ether Using Tornado Cash

The hacker who stole over $230 million from Indian crypto exchange WazirX has started moving the stolen funds through Tornado Cash.

This service helps obscure the trail of transactions, making it harder to trace stolen assets. Nearly $4 million worth of ether was transferred in 16 transactions. WazirX, which was breached in July, lost significant funds, including $100 million in shiba inu and $52 million in ether. The exchange is now undergoing restructuring and customers might recover only 55%-57% of their assets. The North Korean hacking group Lazarus is suspected to be behind the attack.
