Wedding Postponed: Smriti Mandhana's Choreographer Responds

29 Nov, 2025

Cricketer Smriti Mandhana and composer Palash Muchhal's wedding was recently postponed, shocking fans across India. The reason behind this unexpected delay was the serious illness of Smriti's father, who had to be rushed to the hospital on the morning of the wedding, originally scheduled for November 23. Palash himself was also hospitalized due to stress-related issues shortly after. While Smriti's manager confirmed that her father's health was the primary reason for the postponement, rumors began to circulate online, suggesting that the wedding choreographers were involved in the situation.

The wedding choreographers, Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan, responded to these allegations, emphasizing that they played no role in the disruption of the wedding plans. Nandika, who had briefly made her social media account private due to the influx of messages from strangers, later opened it to clarify her position. In her Instagram stories, she stated, "I had no role in disrupting anyone's relationship," urging fans and followers to stop speculating about her involvement.

Nandika expressed her distress over the rumors, describing the situation as "extremely painful." She highlighted the impact of false accusations on her mental health and appealed to the public for understanding. "I have been watching those I care about feel stressed and hurt by information that is not true," she wrote, revealing that she had received threats related to the situation.

Gulnaaz Khan, the other choreographer, also took to Instagram to address the rumors. She clarified that just because they knew Smriti and Palash socially or had pictures with them, it didn't mean they were involved in any personal matters related to the couple. Gulnaaz called for respect and understanding, urging the public not to jump to conclusions without facts.

As of now, both Smriti's father and Palash have been discharged from the hospital, but the wedding remains postponed. The situation highlights how quickly misinformation can spread, affecting the lives of those involved. In an era where social media reigns supreme, it's essential to be cautious about the narratives we believe and share.
