WhatsApp is once again focusing on its ‘About’ feature, which first emerged in the early days of the messaging platform. The redesigned ‘About’ feature appears prominently at the top of one-on-one chats and user profiles, ensuring it catches the attention of contacts easily. This strategic placement encourages quicker interactions, as users can reply directly to someone’s About by tapping on it within the chat window. This transforms what was once a passive update into an engaging point of interaction.
One of the standout features of this update is the timer functionality. The About status will automatically disappear after 24 hours, but users have the flexibility to customize how long it remains visible. This can be adjusted in the Settings menu under the 'Set About' option.
