Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath has earned the title of the youngest philanthropist in the EdelGive-Hurun India Philanthropy List 2024, donating ₹120 crore through the Rainmatter Foundation. Kamath and his brother Nitin, aged 45, secured the 15th position among India’s top donors, joining the ranks of industry titans like Gautam Adani and Shiv Nadar. India's philanthropic contributions have risen sharply, with donations growing by 55% over two years. Education drew the most support, with 123 philanthropists dedicating ₹3,680 crore. Mumbai remains the top city for philanthropists, hosting 30% of donors.
