Akriti Chopra, cofounder and chief people officer of Zomato, has resigned after more than a decade with the company, having joined in 2011. She initially served in various finance roles, including chief financial officer, before becoming chief people officer in 2021. Chopra's departure follows a period of scrutiny regarding potential conflicts of interest associated with her husband, Blinkit founder Albinder Dhindsa, especially after Zomato's acquisition of Blinkit. She is the fifth cofounder to leave Zomato, joining a trend of senior executive exits from the company in recent years.
