Zomato has launched the ‘District’ app for Android and iOS, focusing on its "going-out" segment to become its third-largest B2C business. The app allows users to book restaurant tables, and tickets for movies, sports, and live events. This follows recent feature additions like ‘Book Now, Sell Anytime,’ enabling ticket resale, and ‘Food Rescue,’ aimed at reducing food wastage by selling canceled food orders. Zomato’s dine-out business already operates at a $500M annualized gross order value, showcasing its efforts to outpace competitors.
