Zomato has raised ₹8,500 crore (USD 1 billion) through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), led by domestic investors like Motilal Oswal and ICICI Prudential.
The food delivery giant issued 33.65 crore shares at ₹252.62 each, a 5% discount from the floor price. The funds will support Zomato’s expansion and its quick-commerce business, Blinkit. Notable investors include Motilal Oswal, who contributed ₹1,750 crore. Zomato's market cap stands at ₹2.47 lakh crore, with its shares closing at ₹279.50, down 2.31% on Friday.
